After what has been an extraordinary weekend here at Llangollen Railway, we want to extend a heartfelt Thank You to each and every visitor who joined us.
Phil Coles, Chairman of Llangollen Railway Trust said “I would like to thank all the volunteers and staff who made this great weekend happen, also everyone who came and supported the railway on our first big Gala since we reopened. I enjoyed it, hope you all did.”
Pulling off an event of this scale isn’t without its challenges, but thanks to the dedication of our amazing volunteers and staff, it was a resounding success.
Matt Davies one of the event organisers stated “The whole atmosphere of the railway was great to see with many visitors, which I spoke to, being with us for the first time. They certainly agreed to be with us again! Organizing an event like this is no mean feat, and it takes many hours of preparation from many individuals and departments to be brought together to achieve what has been delivered.”
From the beaming smiles on our customers’ faces to the countless photographs shared on social media, it truly was a fantastic event.
Trust Manager, Tom Taylor noted that “the atmosphere around our Railway and the positive feedback received to date, from the 1400+ visitors, spoke volumes.”
