Llangollen Railway Trust is seeking to appoint 2 dynamic and highly motivated individuals to join our Permanent Way Team, in support of the Head of Pway and to work alongside volunteers in the repair and maintenance of our track.

Post 1:  Heritage Permanent Way Operative

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary:  £11.00 per hour

Post 2: Trainee Heritage Permanent Way Operative

Hours:  40 hours per week

Salary: £6.83 per hour

Both roles will be for an initial 6-month period, with an extension being dependent on further funding.

The postholders will be responsible for working to support the effective repair and maintenance of the trackwork alongside the existing team of PWay employees and volunteers.  A key part of the role will be to work with the existing team to carry out planned maintenance for the remaining 2022 season and prepare for 2023.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience of working in an outside environment within a Railway setting, with experience of working in the voluntary sector also being advantageous.
